Ryan Hastman

Ryan's political experience spans more than two decades and includes serving as a staff member in Ottawa at the Opposition Leader's Office, the Prime Minister's Office, several ministers offices, and on Parliament Hill. Ryan has also served on two national election campaign tours, in 2000 and 2008.

In the 2011 federal election, Ryan ran for the Conservative Party in Edmonton-Strathcona. Following that, he became the Director of Political Operations for the Wildrose Party, and served as the "wagon master" on the 2012 Wildrose campaign bus. Yes, that bus. Since leaving professional politics more than five years ago, Ryan has been employed at the University of Alberta in major gift fundraising. 

In November 2017 Ryan joined prominent blogger Dave Cournoyer and producer/host Adam Rozenhart to launch the popular bi-monthly Daveberta Podcast, part of the ATB Podcast Network. Over its 20 episode run the show has featured prominent guests including Premier Rachel Notley and Opposition Leader Jason Kenney among others. 

Ryan and his wife Lianne Bell live in St. Albert with their two sons.
